The Wildcats took advantage of a power play opportunity in the second period to extend their lead to 2-0. Graham Day (Rochester, Mich.) scored for the second time this year off Jason Recchia's (Shelby Township, Mich.) assist – the first point of his collegiate career.
JWU couldn't hold onto the two-goal lead. The Leopards scored on three power-play chances in the third, including the game-winner by Matthew Kennedy with 3:33 remaining in the game.
Wentworth had a decided advantage in shots, putting 39 on net, compared to just 23 by the Wildcats.
The Wildcats are on the road again Thursday when they travel to Becker for a 7 p.m. contest.
