Johnson & Wales Falls 6-5 at Mount Ida

NEWTON, Mass. – A fourth-quarter comeback came up just short on Wednesday for the Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse team. The Wildcats lost a 6-5 decision at Mount Ida.

Johnson & Wales: 6-11, 5-4 GNAC

Of Note:
The second of Eric Russo's two goals gave JWU a 3-2 advantage at the 6:13 mark of the second quarter.

Mount Ida scored three times to end the first half then got another goal 2:14 into the fourth quarter to take a 6-3 advantage.

Ben Farrell found the back of the net then Thomas Lyons scored with 44 seconds left in the game. JWU forced a turnover to get the ball back but couldn't get a shot off.

JWU will be the sixth seed for the upcoming GNAC Tournament, traveling back to Mount Ida for Saturday's quarterfinal.
