Men’s Tennis Drops 5-4 Decision Against Norwich

The  men's tennis squad dropped a 5-4 decision against Norwich in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest at the Moses Brown courts on Sunday afternoon.

Johnson & Wales jumped out to the 3- 0 lead after sweeping the doubles competition.  Freshman Mars Wala (Woonsocket, R.I.) and James Adriano (Pawcatuck, Conn.) posted a 9-7 victory at the No. 1 doubles spot for the Wildcats.

Collin Hyte recorded a 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles while Christian Hoskey posted a 6-4, 6-2 won at No. 2 singles for the Cadets.

With the loss Johnson & Wales falls to 2-3 on the season and 1-1 in the GNAC while Norwich improves to 5-0 for the year and 2-0 in league play.  The Wildcats will return to action on Monday, April 2^nd when they host Becker in a non-conference contest, starting at 3:30 p.m.
