JWU Womens Tennis Falls to Bridewater State, 7-2
Bridgewater, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback against Bridgewater State in a non-conference contest on the road on Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomore Dana Trimborn (North Wales, Pa.) picked up the lone singles victory for Johnson & Wales, posting a 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 win at No. 5 singles. Trimborn also teamed with senior Amber Dea (Honey Brook, Pa.) for an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles.
With the loss Johnson & Wales falls to 0-2 while Bridgewater State improves to 2-0 for the season. The Wildcats will return to action on Tuesday, September 15th when they travel to Rhode Island College for a non-conference contest, starting at 3:30 p.m.
