Women’s Tennis Falls To Simmons, 8-1 In GNAC Semifinals

The fourth seeded women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision against No. 1 seeded Simmons in the semifinals of the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference playoffs at the Weymouth Tennis Club on Saturday afternoon.

After Simmons posted a 3-0 lead in the doubles competition, JWU junior Victoria Ricciardi  (Binghampton, N.Y.) picked up the lone win for Johnson & Wales in singles action, posting a win for the Wildcats at the fourth singles spot.

With the loss Johnson & Wales wraps up the 2012 campaign at 12-3.
