PROVIDENCE, RI – A battle of two schools undefeated in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play went the way of the Johnson & Wales University women's volleyball team. The fourth-ranked Wildcats defeated Emmanuel, 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-13), on Wednesday.

Johnson & Wales won its 32nd conference game in a row, dating back to the 2015 season. JWU has won 58-consecutive sets against GNAC opponents, 82 in a row during regular season matches.
The Wildcats also won their 49th home game in a row.
Errors got JWU off to a slow start in set one. An Alexandra Mezzo kill evened the opening stanza, 17-17, but the Wildcats rattled off five-straight points to take the set.
JWU found its stride in the second set, hitting .533 while holding the Saints to .071. For the match, the Wildcats had a .442-.151 hitting advantage thanks to a 47-34 digs margin.
The Saints were led by Casey Sheehan with eight kills while Marissa Cataldo chipped in seven. Katharine Journeay tied for the match-high with 10 digs.
